Absolutely superb, I took in a car with a engine that drank oil and was inconsistent with its performance. I now have what feels like a brand new mk1 mx5. He talked me through every inch of the work so I understood where my money was going, and always had time for my beginners questions! Excellent value excellent service. I'm sure il be back for some throttle bodies soon enough....
If your MX5 needs any sort of attention you cannot entrust it to a safer set of hands than those of Chris and his team at Kent MX5 Services. We gave them an engine in bits and out of the car after our previously reliable garage had managed to wreck the engine removing a spark plug (yes, you did read that!) and botched their attempted repair before giving up. Getting all their damage repaired wasn't the work of five minutes but now that everything is back together and the car has been driven home the wait has certainly been worth it.Everyone at Kent is a delight to deal with (with Chris's dad in particular a constant fund of amusing stories and well worth a visit in his own right!) and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
Myself and two friends hired an MX5 from Kent MX5 for a track day at Brands Hatch recently. As a package it was fantastic. We booked the track day but Chris and Karen did everything else, so all we had to do was arrive and drive. They were both really friendly and great hosts on the day. More importantly, the car was superb. This was my first track day so I took Chris up on his offer of accompanying any of us on track to show us the ropes from his experience. This set the day up perfectly for me, as I was worried about being too slow and a nuisance to the other cars on track. However, with a little coaching and a great handling car, I was soon having fund which lasted the whole day.In summary, if you want to do a track day, but not in your own car, I can't recommend Kent MX5 highly enough.
I took my Mk3 in for lowering springs and a geometry set up. It's completely transformed the car and she now handles far better than before. Chris has an amazing knowledge of all things MX5, both road and race, and always ensures a top quality job is carried out. Cant recommend highly enough!
Highly recommended. Helpful advice and support in deciding which suspension and break improvements would be best for my MK3. Drives superbly, corners like its on rails and much improved bite and feel to the brakes. Thanks, Chris & Karen.
