Quaint, homely hotel! Amazing service, great rooms and a welcomed change from mainstream chain hotels
Stayed two nights to attend a wedding New Years Eve. From checking in to checking out the service was truly amazing, the team were consistently amazing nothing was too much trouble, everyone made us feel incredible welcome! As soon as you enter the hotel you feel a natural warmth! Food was very good too! Thank you for giving my sister in laws wedding that extra edge! Hope 2019 is good for you all!
Christmas set 3 course dinner for 9 of us, probably one of the worst meals Ive ever had, very poor quality, bland, gravy like dirty water thickened with cornflour, everything was cheap poor quality and we were utterly disappointed.We were the only people there which told us everything before we even began eating, absolute waste of money!
We visited here for a wedding. The garden was beautiful and the large function room for the wedding breakfast was stunning. Ollie the owner was very good and made sure the wedding ran smoothly. The food was lovely and arrived hot which is an achievement when serving a lot of guests. Two things that need improving to get five stars from me. The mattress in our bedroom was extremely uncomfortable and we couldnt sleep. The coffee served in the insulated jugs was awful and was undrinkable. Two small things to improve, but a wonderful day had by all.
Absolutely excellent stay where we were made to feel most welcome from the very second we arrived to our departure. The staff where all friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Then we move on to the food. We did not know whether to take photos of it or to eat it, such was the supreme excellence in its presentation. It tasted amazing The room we had (which was an upgrade) at its original cost would have been well worthy of the price. We shall be visiting again.
