Some great meat and veg, lovely spot
My wife and I have just moved into the area. We have been to all the local farm shops (where we shop for nearly all our food as we dislike supermarkets). This is by far and above the best. Ignore the negative comment as its most certainly not anything like our experience of Nightingale. Fantastic Cider in a bag. Love the loose frozen fruits, pastries and veg section too. Five stars.
The best ham in the area and strawberries absolutely devine. However, not so the staff. Often walk in to the shop with not even a glance or response from the staff to my 'hello'. Less grumpy looking and more welcoming staff is what this shop needs. Their products are otherwise of good quality.
I have a very satisfied belly! Amazing steak pie last night for dinner and some delicious cooked ham in my sandwiches today, all from the farm shop. Oh and the cider is the best I've tasted in a long time! Can you delivery to London please!? ; )
I love this place! Being able to get local, high quality produce is a treat these days. I've always found the staff to be helpful and courteous and there is always something different that catches my eye. I would thoroughly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed and you will also be supporting a local business.
